Urban Hamilton Wedding downtown at the Spice Factory

We first met Kevin + Ashley at their elopement in Niagara-on-the-Lake earlier that year. This was a very private celebration with a handful of family members (and us!!). It was that day that we connected with these two for life!

It was not until later that fall, that they chose to publicly declare their marriage for the remainder of their family & friends with a killer urban Hamilton wedding at the Spice Factory. How they kept their elopement a secret for so long is beyond us! These two put on a whole wedding, invited their fav peeps and went along with the whole shabang. Their guests had no idea that they were actually already married! Just before the ceremony, they met in the alley beside the Spice Factory for a ring exchange. This gave Ashley’s dad the opportunity to give her away. The moment was beautiful, tender and supercharged with emotion.

As the doors busted open for Ashley to come up the aisle, her and Kevin emerged together to the surprise of their guests. The cat was out of the bag! It was hilarious to witness the shock and awe on their guests faces as they watched a slideshow of their previous elopement. Despite the surprise, the evening was filled with plenty of celebration and a ton of joy. We loved every second of it!

Since that day, we’ve photographed them two more times for a grand total of four shoots. We love seeing this couple grow their sweet little family two at a time (twin boys rock!) and feel honoured to consider them friends.
