everybody was kung-fu fighting – ok, it was just Shane… but look at that crane kick
Shane is one of the funniest, most genuine people I know—he’s never met a stranger. It’s almost impossible to make it past our front porch when he’s outside. He talks to everyone, and if you’re heading out with him, you’d better plan on extra time.
The way he loves people is inspiring. He’s fiercely loyal, deeply reflective, and always quick to see the good in others. He really does see the world through a different lens.
He makes me feel like the luckiest woman. He pours himself into our kids every chance he gets. He loves reading and writing, and no matter the medium, he’s a sculptor—shaping ideas, stories, and moments in a way that’s uniquely his.
Someday our kids will wake up to a stack of her journals. The stories and prayers inside will remind them that God is at work in our messy lives—through the love, the laughter, the challenges, and the victories.
Jenny is good at everything. She gives endlessly to our family, and if her thread were pulled from the fabric of our home, things would unravel fast. She’s incredibly thoughtful, super organized, and wildly creative, making up magical meals that somehow never stop amazing us.
She’s one of the greatest examples of grace I’ve ever known. If you’re heading into battle, there’s no warrior you’d want by your side more. Trust me. She loves us better than we deserve—and she’s fully addicted to Costco lights. Don’t encourage her.

We much prefer being behind the camera
Let me share how Reed Photography became a dynamic duo.
A couple years into weddings, I (Shane) needed a second shooter—a backup. I considered a photography student, but their style might clash. Photos have to be cohesive.
Glancing across the couch, there she was. Messy hair. A pink robe and jammy pants. Bingo—she was perfect. Jenny was exactly what I needed—a blank canvas. She pivoted toward me, bewildered. “What? Why are you looking at me like that?”
I asked. She said yes. Now, you can hardly tell who took the shot.
Kind of like marriage. Two becoming one.
When we aren’t documenting weddings in Niagara-on-the-Lake, you’ll find us enjoying life’s simple pleasures. You’ll find us sipping robust coffee, taking slow neighborhood walks, and chatting with friends. Lounging on our big green couch with the famjam. Whipping up good food. Soaking up sun on the front porch.
And of course, there’s our Bichon Frise, Gordie—he rocks. Our three kids are our world. We love what we do. Always up for a good laugh. Let’s be honest—cake is our love language.
When Shane isn’t behind the lens, he’s usually at his desk working on his latest book. You can see his work at shanecreed.com
P.S. Check out our crazy Christmas cards.
